Along the way it proposes a new framework—the Hot Philosophy—for mapping the deep modules and skeins that generate our gods, laws, kinks, wars, and ideals, and for facing the Inner Ape without either pious denial or nihilism. In the end, it’s an attempt at a software update for the species: a way of seeing ourselves that might let us stay human, stay erotic, and stay alive long enough to have a future.
